Special Educational Needs

Children learn in different ways and progress at different rates. Many children need some kind of extra support during their time in education.

Inclusion Team

Throughout your child’s time in school, they may benefit from some additional support from the Inclusion Team. The Inclusion Team work closely with your child’s class teacher and phase leader to support pupils with special educational needs/disabilities, pastoral concerns, medical needs and social and emotional needs. They offer support and guidance not only to pupils and staff, but also to parents where possible.

Four areas of SEN

The SEND Code of Practice 2014 (updated January 2015) sets out four broad areas of special educational needs that include a range of difficulties and conditions. We have collated some useful resources and links for each broad area.
